  1.  Eli, Sam, Whitney
  2. 1995
  3. Calhoun, GA
  4. Metaphor
  5. Owl

It was a warm and bright moonlight at night in Calhoun, GA. Three sisters named Eli, Sam, and Whitney decided to go on an adventure in the woods; since they live right behind the woods. They rode their bikes around, laughed and just had fun. All of a sudden, they hear an owl hoot. They followed the hooting of the owl. Then, the sisters spotted the owl. The owl was staring at the girls with its big bright eyes. The owl was just standing on a tree branch pretending to be a person. The girls were a little scared to look at it into its eyes but people say that when you look into an owls eyes, its good luck. The girls were happy when they saw that owl because they know they will have good luck.

                                            Violence

"I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent."
                  -Mahatma Gandhi

This means that you try to defend yourself and get violent back and when you wish you could of gone back through time, you cant because when you've done something its been done, theirs no going back. I agree with this quote because once you get in trouble for fighting, that stays on your record, you cant take it off because its going to be their permanently. This can be clearly seen in school. Kids fight for good and bad, but once you get caught, you will always have on your record of being violent to other students. Violence is not the solution to anyone's problems. People should just talk face to face like mature people and work their problems out.

I Am Katniss Everdeen

I am terrified
I hear the wind and loud thunder
I wonder if this is the last time I will see my family
I see people killing
I want to get out of this game
I am going to survive

I pretend I'm not there
I feel the pressure rise up on me
I touch the nature
I worry about not surviving
I cry because I have so much pain
I am frightened

I understand that only one person will survive
I say I can do this and fight for my life
I dream that this shouldn't of ever happen
I try to be strong
I hope I will be the one to survive
I am fearless

HERO

                                                                     HERO

"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to preserve and endure in spite of      overwhelming obstacles."
                                                      - Christopher Reeve
                                                                         ("Superman")

What he is saying that a Hero is someone who finds a way to help others. Also to overcome things.

I agree with Christopher because whenever you love someone and something tragic might happen to them you will do anything to help that person, that makes you a Hero. A hero doesn't have to be like Superman, Iron Man, Batman, or Spiderman. A hero to me is my Mother. My mother has always been their for me. She's been their to help me on anything, good and bad. When I'm feeling down she helps me get back up. I look up to her. My mom is my hero.

The Hunger Games

My theme is violence. The reason I chose was because it looks interesting, theirs a movie about it but, I would rather read the book first. Its about a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capital surrounded by twelve districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.
